    Leigh Rodgers, RT (R), has been named medical imaging operations manager at Rome Memorial Hospital announced Sharon Carson, RT (R)(M), medical imaging director.
    Advanced treatment for chronic wounds
    Rome Memorial Hospital’s Regional Center for Wound Care is raising awareness of the prevention and treatment of hard-to-heal wounds during Wound Care Awareness Week, June 5 – 9.The Wound Center offers advanced therapies to patients suffering from chronic wounds. Clinical Director Melissa Ruddy, RN is dedicating the entire week to educating physicians, patients and the general public about the chronic wound epidemic and the advanced wound care solutions.
    Celebrating National Nurses' Week
    At Rome Memorial Hospital and its affiliates, there are more than 250 dedicated nurses providing quality care for the community. Whether administering medications, monitoring vital signs, soothing discomfort or calming anxiety, nurses are vital to the quality care provided through Rome Memorial Hospital. National Nurses’ Week, May 6-12, is celebrated each year to recognize this profession that centers on caring for others. As the field of nursing keeps pace with the constantly changing world of medical care, the one aspect that has remained the same is the caring nature of the women and men who choose to become nurses.
