    Dear Families,

Effective Tuesday July 21, the Residential Health Care Facility (RHCF) will begin accepting clothing and food items from family again. We continue to follow policies and recommendations put into place by the New York State Department of Health to ensure that we provide our residents with the safest environment possible. Please follow the guidelines listed below.

    Receiving DockLaundry

•Resident clothing may be brought to the hospital loading dock Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday ONLY between the hours of 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. The loading dock is located in the back of hospital (Black River Boulevard). Enter the parking lot from Oak Street entrance and follow signs to “Receiving”.
•There will be a bin labeled “RHCF Clothing Drop Box.” Please leave resident clothing in this bin. All clothing must be bagged and labeled with 1) resident’s name, 2) location, 3) room #, and 4) provide an inventory list of items brought in. All clothing will be laundered, labeled and inventoried prior to delivery to the residents.

•Families may bring in food for their loved ones during the weekly visits. If you are unable to come for a visit, but would like to bring food you must make arrangements with the activity department.
•Tupperware containers will be provided and all food must be in Tupperware provided or else it will not be accepted. Food cannot be delivered to the hospital for residents at this time.
•For any questions or to make arrangement to bring in food please, contact Megan Absolom at (315) 338-7175 or the Activity Department at (315) 338-7292.

We understand that the closure of the RHCF to family and visitors has been difficult and we appreciate everyone’s understanding and cooperation during this pandemic.

    Best regards,

    Activities Director
