• Rome Memorial Hospital accepting donations of personal protective equipment

As cases of COVID-19 continue to climb across New York, Rome Memorial Hospital has experienced an outpouring of support from community members wishing to help. The hospital is accepting in-kind donations of personal protective equipment (PPE) to supplement its supply.

“We are monitoring our PPE inventory, including N95 and isolation masks, daily and working closely with our vendors and the New York State Department of Health to ensure that our healthcare personnel have the protection that they need to care for our patients safely,” said Materials Management Director Larry Giardino. “We sincerely thank everyone who has reached out to assist the hospital and our staff.”

N95 MaskSmall businesses, like dental offices or tattoo studios, and larger manufacturers or construction firms that want to donate PPE that they’re not using because of the COVID-19 pandemic can contact the hospital by calling 315.338.7222.
